Kryolan Rigid Collodion was originally created during the First World War to restrict open wounds and stop bleeding. Ouch!

Lucky for us, it is still around and works great for simulating indented scars. Brush a few layers into a soft fleshy area of skin, pull or fold the area to make the skin react to the fast drying, puckering effect of the Collodion scar makeup. As it dries, it will pucker the skin - giving the effect of a scar with indented depth. Works best in areas that are more fleshy and soft. Use on clean, dry skin that has had no moisture applied.

You may use a light coat of cream, greasepaint or water-color makeup to color under the scar or ontop of the Collodion. Both techniques have nice effects.

Do not use near eyes or in the nose or mouth.

Use in a well ventilated area.

To remove: Use an oily based cleanser and lift and pull the scar from the skin. Because of the naturally drying effect, it is a good idea to apply a good moisturizer on the skin after use.
